The UD Trucks Lichtenburg team would like to welcome our new General Manager, Jaco Rass that joined us in October of this year. We are very excited to have Jaco on board, as he is bringing more than 25 years of knowledge and expertise with him ranging from general management to finance, marketing and sales. Jaco's broad knowledge is a valuable asset to the business and our customers, especially since he specialised in cross boarder transport the past six years areas such as Zimbabwe, Mozambique and other Africa countries. Jaco understands the challenges faced by many customers in the industry and will help our customers with a tailored solution fit for their individual business needs.

Nyati Cross Border
The UD Trucks Lichtenburg team is proud to build on the established relationship with Nyati Cross Boarder from 2019. Nyati Cross Boarder recently expanded their fleet with 10 new UD Quon's. The drivers are very keen on driving the newest edition to their fleet and look forward to a comfortable driving experience.
Nyati Group consists of two divisions. Nyati SA that specialises in ammonium nitrate transport and waste distribution, a very specialised work in South Africa, managed by Jan Potgieter.
Friedel Kirstein's focus is on Nyati Cross Boarder, managing distribution in the DRC and now also expanding to Zambia.
The new UD Quon units fit perfectly with the vision for their future of going greener with the distribution of copper. UD Trucks Lichtenburg has proved its trust and the ultimate dependability of the brand, it's people and in supporting their customers.

With manual and fully automatic variants available ranging from 210HP to 280HP, these trucks help our customers to get the job done. The Croner range is best suited for distribution applications, with one chassis suited for a 6-cube tipper application.

What is new in 2022?
Drive for better with the new Euro 5 Quester and Croner trucks, with feature enhancements that boost profitability by doing more with less to overcome critical resource constraints.
UD Trucks Southern Africa unveiled a new Euro 5 range for the well-established Quester (heavy duty) and Croner (medium duty) trucks this year. This launch supports UD Trucks' sustainability initiative of a Better Life purpose - making life better for people and the planet.
The newly launched Euro 5 reduces NOx emissions and reduces the carbon footprint of the vehicle through cleaner emissions. The Euro 5 system is fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology and real-time fuel coaching.
